Having nothing to do this last weekend, I took leftover wood branches and cut them into 1 centimeter thick pieces. I had some stencils with coastal motives lying in my "crafty" drawer - I especially like the anchor motif - and brushed over them with acrylic paint.
And voila! Instant coasters!
P.s. It is usually good to brush them over with top coat, just to make it easier to wipe off any stains. :)
